General information

Application

Mainly used in rectangular ventilation ducts for shutoff, volumeflow control and pressure control

Material and surfaces

Frame profiles are made out of galvanised steel
The damper blades are made out of aluminium and fitted with TPE gasket for tightness
The axel is made of 10 × 10 square steel, and the sprockets and liner are made of special plastic
The cover plate for the sprockets are made in galvanized steel

Installation and commissioning

Delivered with guide type as standard, and can be easily mounted to ducts by using a track connection system such as KSA, which fits the most common guide types in the market
Always check the damper before the installation, and control the open/close function after installation
The damper must always be mounted with the damper blades horizontally
Dampers with width more than 1500 mm are delivered in 2 sections. These must be put together at the building site

Maintenance

TSK-4 demands no specific maintenance at normal conditions.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

TSK-4 is mainly used in rectangular ventilation ducts for shut-off, volume and pressure control. An actuator is available as an accessory. The damper can also be supplied with a circular duct connection. For manual adjustment, the damper blades are turned by the lever on the outside of the damper. The lever is locked in the desired position with a wing screw. If the damper is ordered with an adjustable lever and the actuator is to be retrofitted, the lever and bracket must be removed. Then, the actuator must be attached to the actuator bracket.

The table shows a selection of recommended Belimo actuators, given in Nm. See table 1 for actuators.

TSK-4 can be delivered as 50 mm width and height moudule as standard, and is equipped with guide spigot. An actuator is available as accessory. The damper can also be delivered with circular duct connection. Maximum size for 1 damper is B = 1500 mm × H = 2000 mm. If the width is over 1500 mm an extension part is used for a total width up to 2600 mm. For damper with height 1400 mm up to 2000 mm, 2 actuators must be used. When the height exceeds 1200 mm a link suspension is used for better stability. The damper opens by rotating the axel counterclockwise (CCW). The sprockets are protected by a cover, and are placed outside of the airstream. TSK-4 has air leakage class 4 for damper in closed position, casing leakage class B, and complies with pressure class ≤ 1000 Pa. Operating temperature is -20 – 80 °C
