X-SENS-TH-W - Wireless sensor

Functional description

X-SENS TH measures room temperature and relative humidity and transfers the measured values to the FAM-W room controller.

The measured values can be used by the TROX Ox control system for room temperature control, demand-controlled ventilation and monitoring of indoor climate. The wall-mounted enclosure has a clean design and can be installed directly on the wall surface or on a recessed mounting box with 60 mm hole spacing. Wireless variants reduce the need for field wiring in the room, while wired variants are supplied from FAM-W and communicate via Modbus RTU.

Technical data

The sensor provides temperature and relative humidity measurement (and CO2 concentration) for TROX Ox applications. The wireless version uses a 3.6 V lithium battery and communicates on 2.4 GHz. Battery lifetime is up to 7 years depending on operation and installation conditions. Typical technical data: humidity measuring range 0...100 % RH, humidity accuracy +/-3 % RH at 25 °C, temperature measuring range 0...50 °C, temperature accuracy +/-0.5 °C, CO2 measuring range 0...5000 ppm, CO2 accuracy typically +/-30 ppm + 3 % of value, degree of protection IP30, ambient temperature 0...50 °C, dimensions 97 x 97 x 33 mm, material PC plastic.

Installation and commissioning

Install the sensor on the wall surface or on a recessed mounting box in a representative location for the room. Avoid positions with direct sunlight, draughts, local heat sources or areas where the measurement may not represent the occupied zone. Add the sensor in the TROX Ox ServiceApp and press and hold button for 3 seconds to pair the sensor with FAM-W. The device receives the mesh information and restarts; it may take a few minutes before the measured values are transferred to FAM-W.
