TROX Auranor Norge AS moves production!

On Monday 1 April TROX Auranor turned 45, and as a birthday present the company’s greatest wish came true; a new factory!

“We’ve been working on plans for a new factory for a couple of years now,” says Managing Director Peter Sønderskov. “And on Monday we got the go-ahead from the parent company. This will affirm our position as the market leader in Norway, and we will also be able to intensify efforts in Sweden, Denmark and other countries we export to. It will be a major extension where we expand to more than 11,000 m2 overall.”

“We’ll remain at Hadeland, just slightly closer to Oslo,” Sønderskov says. “We haven’t doubted for a second that we would remain here. We want to retain the expertise and values that have made us so strong, and we haven’t considered joining the trend of leaving Norway. The construction project will completed in 2020, and hopefully we will move into new premises in about a year and a half.”

“Today production takes place across three levels, with offices and customer centre as adjacent buildings. With a new factory we can have all production on one level, and the rest of the layout can also be optimised. We also want to become among the most innovative with regard to environmentally friendly production and automation of processes we use in our production. Industry 4.0 is the future, and the overall goal of the new factory is to increase our capacity and also become more competitive.”

“We shall also find space for a new competence and customer centre which will be called TROX Academy,” Sønderskov says. Here we will facilitate research, product demonstrations, presentations and training activities, as well as a comprehensive exhibition.”

“We are now entering a demanding period where both production and sales activities shall be high, at the same time as the details of the new factory have to be decided. We nevertheless believe that our customers and partners will support us in our new project, and that they look forward to visiting us when the new factory is ready.”
