ADP-MOD-J6 is used in TROX Ox room-control applications here Modbus field devices have J6 connection (RJ12 plug).
Typical applications include VAV-actuators and Modbusconnected sensors.
The adapter is suitable for new installations and refurbishment projects where field components have J6 connection plug.
Functional description
ADP-MOD-J6 is a connection adapter for TROX Ox applications. It converts the RJ45 connection from a Modbus FAM-W port to J6 connector, enabling fast and reliable connection of Modbus devices which are approved by TROX. The adapter is intended for applications where field components have J6 connector instead of a RJ45 patchable connection. Key features Simple transition from RJ45 patch cabling to field wiring.
Technical data
The adapter provides two RJ45 connection with daisy chain functionality, and J6 connection to the field device.
Installation and commissioning
Install the adapter close to the connected field device or close to the FAM-W connection point. Connect the RJ45 patch cable from the Modbus FAM-W port to the adapter and the field device cable to the J6 connection. The terminal assignment must match both the selected FAM-W port function and the connected device
type. If the connected Modbus device does not contain necessary resistor to provide the Modbus communication to work, the manual switch on the ADP-MOD-SPC can be enabled to provide end resistance.
