APPLICATION

FMS-A is an analog control and monitoring unit for fire dampers. There are three variants of FMS-A. FMS-A I is suitable when connecting up to 9 fire dampers, FMS-A II for up to 18 fire dampers, and FMS-A III for up to 27 fire dampers. The control cabinet is suitable for small and medium-sized facilities where bus connections are not necessary. The FMS-A cabinets are equipped with relays for fan start/stop, as well as connection to alarm and SD-systems.

Design
FMS-A I consists of a distribution cabined manufactured in self-extinguishing ABS-plastic (650º) and IP65 protection which contains trafo 230/24-20 VA, 6A automatic grounding, Belimo BKS24-9A , timer type Müller SC 28.11 pro 4, RMI A relay and Wago terminal blocks for connection. 

FMS-A II/III consists of a distribution cabined manufactured in galvanized steel. The cabinet contains a 230/24-20 VA, trafo,  6A automatic grounding, Belimo BKS24-9A (2x for FMS-A II, 3x for FMS-A III) , timer type Müller SC 28.11 pro 4, RMI A relay and Wago terminal blocks for connection

FMS-a has input for nine fire dampers. It communicates with the dampers via a BKN230-24, transformer and communication device, as is mounted on each fire damper. There are quick connections on the damper motor for connecting to BKN230-24. Between FMS-A and the BKN230-24 a twin conductor is used for the communication. See wiring diagram, figure 1. FMS-A monitors and controls the fire dampers, and performs exercise to desired intervals, with BKS24-9A and a programable timer.
